Healing Tao
Introduction
The International Healing Tao System
Having studied under various Chinese and Taoist masters, Master Mantak Chia founded the International Healing Tao system in 1974. In doing so, he became one of the first masters to reveal the ancient Taoist teachings to the West. He was later honoured as Qi Gong Master of the Year by the International Congress of Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong in San Francisco in 1990 .
The Healing Tao is a practical system of self-development that focusses on harnessing our energy for self-healing and spiritual development. Through a series of anicent Chinese meditative and internal energy exercises, we learn to increase physical energy, release tension, improve health, and gain the ability to heal ourselves and others.
By creating a solid foundation of health and well-being in the physical body, we form the basis for developing our spiritual nature. And so by learning to tap into the natural energies of the nature and the universe, we can cultivate an awareness which nurtures and develops the spiritual body.
The ultimate goal of the Healing Tao practice is the transcendence of the physical through the development of the soul and the spirit within all of us.
Healing Tao is now taught throughout Europe, North America, Thailand, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
Master Mantak Chia has also written and published several books that explain in detail the various levels and practices of the International Healing Tao System.
