What to expect in a Yoga class

Kate Turner has been teaching Yoga for the past 15 years and her classes incorporate limbering postures followed by stronger postures that enhance muscle strength and toning organs which allows the student more awareness of
their own bodies.

Kate gives examples of how simple but practical Yoga techniques can benefit the participant in their every-day lives, whether they are in the work force, studying or parent.

Students work to their own limitations and flexibility. The classes finish off with different breath exercises each week to help balance the nervous system and gives the
student a better sense of well-being and health - some calming breaths, some stimulating and uplifting breaths followed by relaxation.

What to bring to the classes

The Centre is well ventilated (circulating fans in summer, and wall heating in winter) with mats, blankets and props provided. Students need to wear loose and comfortable clothing.

Plenty of parking is available.
