What is your rising sign or ascendant?

Your rising sign is the most important point in your chart. It is determined by the sign which is rising on the eastern horizon at your time and place of birth. 

The Rising sign changes approximately every 2 hours, so even though you may share the same Sun sign with someone, itís quite likely you have different Rising signs. 

And because your rising sign governs the way you express yourself to the world, people usually encounter your Rising sign before they see your Sun or Moon sign characteristics. 

This accounts for why some people don't always seem to fit their Sun sign.
